Getting around Hong Kong travel is relatively easy....with the Star ferry service across the harbour and buses, trains and taxis all readily accessed. Here's are some tips,

MTR Tourist Tickets are available, provide travel pass for tourist.

Airport Express Travel Pass – Choose either a three days unlimited travel on MTR with one or two single trips on the Airport Express.

NOTE: These passes are for non Hong Kong residents staying for less than 14 days.

Octopus Card – An electronic fare card for all public transport.Buy at restaurants and stores.You can top up like a phone card.

Taxis – You can easily tell which is the correct taxi as they are different colours
  • Red – Urban taxis
  • Green – New Territories
  • Blue – Lantau Island

There are extra charges for tolls and luggage handling.Passengers are by law expected to wear seat belts.Always get a receipt so lost luggage etc can be tracked.
